- According to Honda's service manual, the proper way to bleed the air from the coolant is to run the bike with the radiator cap off until the thermostat opens
- Let it sit at idle for 15 min
- Looking in the neck of the radiator, you should be able to see the coolant flowing. If you don't see the coolant flowing, you could have a bad thermostat
- Snap the throttle open to 4k - 6k rpms. The coolant level will surge when you do this. Do it several times. If you have air in the system, the coolant level will drop when you return to idle.
- Top it off and do it several more times until you get no drop in coolant level at idle.
- Shut the bike off and install the radiator cap, insuring it seals well.
- Fill the recovery bottle to the top line and you're done.
